Terms and Conditions

Event: Zing Hackathon Organizer: SkillGlider Support email: skillglider4@gmail.com Support phone: +91 7993446574

These Terms and Conditions describe the conditions for registering for and participating in Zing Hackathon, organized by Skillglider. Read them together with the published Rules and Regulations, Privacy Policy, eligibility requirements, and round-specific instructions.

1. Eligibility and registration

Participants must meet the eligibility requirements published on the registration page and provide accurate, complete, and current registration details.

Participants are responsible for:

  • Registering using their own identity.
  • Providing accurate institution and participant information.
  • Maintaining active contact details.
  • Correcting inaccurate registration information promptly.
  • Completing any verification required under the published eligibility process.

Registration does not confirm eligibility where verification remains pending.

Any age-related participation requirements or parent or guardian consent arrangements must be confirmed and published by the organizers before applicable registrations are accepted.

2. Acceptance of event requirements

Participants must complete the acceptance process presented during registration and follow the published requirements applicable to their event stage.

If these terms and other event instructions appear inconsistent, participants should contact the organizers for clarification.

Additional conditions that remain unconfirmed are not established by this document. Organizers must publish them before they take effect.

3. Team membership

Team composition and minimum and maximum team sizes are set by the organizers and displayed on the registration page.

Each team must designate a team leader or primary contact to coordinate communications and submissions. Every listed team member must agree to participate.

Membership changes are locked after the published registration deadline. Teams should verify their member list, roles, and contact details before that deadline.

Any exceptional correction process must be confirmed and published by the organizers.

4. Event format and schedule

The event consists of three rounds:

  • Minor round
  • Intermediate round
  • Major round

Each round follows the published schedule and may have separate assessment, submission, presentation, and qualification requirements.

Participants are responsible for checking the event dashboard and official notifications. The organizers may update the schedule and will communicate material changes through the notification system.

All deadlines must be read using the official event time zone published by the organizers.

5. Minor-round assessment

The Minor round includes a timed, server-monitored online assessment.

Participants must follow the published instructions covering assessment access, duration, permitted resources, collaboration, and submission.

Participants must not impersonate another person, obtain prohibited assistance, share restricted assessment material, or interfere with the assessment platform.

Technical problems should be reported promptly through the official support channel. Reporting a problem does not automatically grant additional time or a retake.

Organizer confirmation required: Rules for interruptions, missed assessments, retakes, and any permitted accommodations.

6. Project submissions

Later rounds require each team to submit one public Google Drive folder containing all required materials.

Teams must:

  • Follow the submission checklist for the relevant round.
  • Configure the folder as “Anyone with the link” — Viewer, as required by the submission instructions.
  • Ensure all required files and links are accessible.
  • Submit the folder link through the designated platform process.
  • Maintain access throughout the published review period.
  • Follow the published rules for updates after submission.

Teams must exclude confidential information, private credentials, and personal information that should not be publicly accessible.

Missing materials, inaccessible links, and late submissions will be handled according to the published submission policy.

7. Originality and permitted assistance

Participants must submit work they created or are authorized to use and must credit third-party code, datasets, assets, and tools appropriately.

Teams must accurately explain their own contributions and identify pre-existing work where required.

AI tools, external assistance, and collaboration are governed by the rules published for each round. Assessment permissions may differ from project-development permissions.

Participants remain responsible for the accuracy, functionality, attribution, and permitted use of their submissions.

8. Judging and qualification

Judging criteria, scoring weights, and advancement rules are configured separately for each round and must be published before the relevant evaluation begins.

Draft scores remain private until the organizers explicitly publish them. Draft or unpublished scores do not constitute an announced result.

Reviewers may request clarification or demonstrations of submitted work. Participants must respond accurately and must not misrepresent project capabilities, testing, or results.

Organizer confirmation required: Tie-breaking rules, score-correction procedures, and any review process for judging concerns.

9. Prize pool and award conditions

The confirmed total prize pool is ₹2,00,000 (Rupees Two Lakh).

Award categories, distribution amounts, recipient eligibility, verification requirements, payment timelines, and any additional award conditions will be published separately once confirmed.

Registration, participation, or advancement to a later round does not by itself guarantee a prize.

Organizer confirmation required: Allocation among awards and team members, applicable deductions or tax handling, and treatment of unclaimed awards.

10. Intellectual property and organizer permissions

Participants retain ownership of their submitted work unless otherwise agreed in writing with the organizers.

Participants must have the rights or permissions needed to include third-party materials in their submissions and make those materials accessible as required by the event.

Any limited permissions requested by the organizers, including permission to showcase, reproduce, or promote a project, must be described and confirmed separately.

This draft does not establish a transfer of project ownership or an unrestricted license to use submitted work.

11. Participant conduct

Participants must act honestly and respectfully toward other participants, reviewers, mentors, and organizers.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment, threats, abuse, or discriminatory behavior.
  • Plagiarism or false claims about authorship.
  • Impersonation or falsification of registration information.
  • Tampering with another team’s submission.
  • Unauthorized access to accounts, assessments, or systems.
  • Attempts to improperly influence evaluation.
  • Deliberate disruption of event activities.

Concerns should be reported through the official support channel with relevant information or evidence.

12. Review of potential violations

Organizers may review conduct or submissions that appear to violate these terms or the Rules and Regulations.

Participants may be asked to clarify registration details, explain submitted work, or provide relevant supporting information.

The grounds, procedures, and consequences for disqualification, together with any appeals process, remain subject to organizer confirmation.

Organizer confirmation required: Notice procedures, opportunities to respond, decision-making authority, possible consequences, and appeal deadlines.

13. Event changes or cancellation

The organizers may change the schedule, format, or other event details and will communicate material changes through the notification system.

If the event is postponed or cancelled, organizers will communicate the status and explain the implications for participation, submissions, awards, and any fees paid.

Organizer confirmation required: Cancellation procedures and any related prize or refund arrangements.

14. Fees and refunds

Registration fees, if any, have not yet been confirmed.

If fees apply, organizers must publish the amount, payment process, and applicable refund conditions before collecting payment.

Participants should use only payment channels officially identified by the organizers.

15. Privacy and public information

Personal information is handled as described in the Zing Hackathon Privacy Policy.

Published results may include team names, rounds, criterion-level and total scores, and qualification status, as described in that policy.

Participants are responsible for reviewing the contents and sharing permissions of their public Google Drive submissions before providing access.

16. Official communications

Participants must regularly check their dashboard, registered email address, and other official event channels.

Team leaders are responsible for sharing relevant team communications with their members.

Material changes to event requirements will be communicated through the notification system. Participants should contact support if an announcement is unclear or appears inconsistent with published instructions.

The formal process for raising and resolving disputes will be published once confirmed.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

Governing law, jurisdiction, and other applicable legal details have not yet been confirmed.

These provisions must be completed and published by the organizers before registration opens.

19. Updates to these terms

The version and effective date at the top of this page identify the published version of these terms.

Organizers must communicate material updates through official channels and explain when they take effect. Any additional acceptance required for an update will be requested through the platform.
